Universality in The libation Bearers by Aeschylus:
Keywords: Nature, Truth, Attraction, Attachment
Universality
is defined as “common experience share by all” because it is observed almost by
all human beings in world. It doesn’t matter where he belongs to or what he
does. It also matter not if he is poor or rich. Specific feelings are same
everywhere. In the libation bearers by Aeschylus there are
several aspects which are facts of human nature.
Reality can’t be denied that most of
siblings have mutual attraction. They have blood relation and grow up by same
parents, under same roof. Most of their time is spent in same environment. In
case they live far they have mutual attraction. In libation bearers prince Orestes
and princess Electra live far but they have attraction for each other. Reason
is also for having the same mission to take revenge. They support and motivate
each other in taking revenge of their father’s murder. Both siblings are
strangers but on the tomb they recognize each other by the tokens and signs. Their
purpose is same and they
support each other to take revenge.
Friendship
is a strong relation too. It is valued in every age, in every society in world.
In social life children develop faith in friends. They encourage and motivate to
improve and progress. They have mutual attachment. Love and faith have been
observing since time immemorial. It is not the same but mostly they are
universal truths. Almost all experience love and faith because without it life
is hell. In play prince hesitates to kill the queen but his friend reminds his
obligation towards king, state and god Apollo.
Mutual attachment can be used in developing
positive behavior in early age. Power in faith can be utilized in developing
strong characteristics in human beings.
