Professional Skills in Hamlet by Shakespeare
Professional Skills in Hamlet by Shakespeare:
Keywords: Professional Definition, Nature of Profession, Career, Occupation, Employ
Better service is provided to appeal buyers. Professional definition is a struggle for the sake of earning, name and fame. In most famous play, Hamlet, William Shakespeare exhibits his talents through unique lines. Prince Hamlet can’t write, act or direct drama in a away as Shakespeare does.
He started his career as an actor and became the greatest dramatist of time. His work is known throughout the world..Nature of his profession is to write, say words and express naturally. His career demands him to observe and think deeply. Shakespeare can direct the drama very well but Hamlet can’t because it is not his field. His responsibility might be to see his education or keep an eye on state matters.
Drama was Shakespeare’s living and interest. He took it as profession but it was not Hamlet’s profession. Being a son of king Hamlet his responsibility is to see state matters or what is happening in palace. Drama Hamlet written by Shakespeare is well composed play in the history of Elizabethan drama. It is obvious prince Hamlet can’t write or give directions as professionally as Shakespeare can. He is successful playwright of that particular age. There are several aspects under consideration.
Shakespeare directs actors that dialogue delivery should be natural. Their words should suit to their action and action to words. He advises that with this special overstep is not the modesty of nature. It acquires and begets a temperance that may give it smoothness while performing play on the stage for their particular audience.
Only he can say that it offends him to the soul to hear a fellow tear a passion to tatters groundlings because he is employed. Gillian Woods explores how the play unsettles distinctions between performance and reality and how it thus exposes the mechanisms of theatre.
Hamlet is prince who is student in university, a learned and a scholar person. He is successor of the kingdom. It seems impossible for him to know in detail about how to perform dialogues and how to act a play very well. Besides a prince can be interested in drama but he can’t know in detail about the audience or what type of audience in actual. All these can be known by Shakespeare but not Hamlet. Conclusion is that there are autobiographical elements in the play through giving directions to actors.

Head of the family, in a Raisin in the Sun, by Lorraine
Hansberry
Keywords:
Supervise, Guide, Educate
Mama is maternal head of the family in every
way. She does her duty devotedly as to supervise her family very well. She is
caring and loving. She corrects her children, Walter, Ruth and Beneatha when
she thinks they need it. She realizes her responsibilities towards her family
very well. There are several aspects which are sufficient to argue in her
support.
When
she comes to know that Ruth doesn’t want her next child and she is going to
destroy the child she advises her to be relax and feel tension free. In this
respect she also directs her son that they are the persons who give life to
their children but not destroy them. She refers her husband’s sayings when she is
convincing her son.
On finding her daughter’s controversial thoughts about
religion she minds it and doesn’t like her views. She knows well that faith is
a great source of faith in human beings. If a person losses faith he or she can
develop negative thinking in mind and in result possibility is to lost personal
faith also.
Similarly Beneatha’s low feelings about her brother are
disliked by Mama. She reminds her that she and her husband had taught her to
love her brother since her childhood. And how she can forget that lesson,
parents had given her on any step. She makes her to get things. She argues that
a brother can make mistake but it doesn’t mean that he deserves to be hatred or
disliked. She will not let him loose his confidence only for the sake of money
.Any person can make mistakes in life intentionally or unintentionally but he
or she should not be downed. Family members are to rise him up but not to feel
him down and degraded.
Everyway mama is maternal head of the family. She feels
her responsibility to stand her son as a future head of the family and be
confident. She has started to educate him for such purposes successfully as he
begins to realize his responsibilities towards his family.

Now you're a tower of strength: a consort battleship. You and I and Pickering will be three old bachelors together instead of only two men and a silly girl.

Henry Higgins Idealizes his Mother in Pygmalion by Barnard Shaw
Henry Higgins Idealizes
his Mother in Pygmalion by
Barnard
Shaw
Keywords: Idealize,
Trust, Support
Mr. Higgins
seems to idealize his mother as she is mature and wise lady, having worldly wisdom.
There are several aspects which show Higgins attachment with his mother.
Mrs. Higgins
says that it is a pity that he never falls in love except with the woman who are
forty five or above. He replies that he doesn’t wish to be bothered by young
women and says his idea of loveable woman is somebody as like is mother as
possible. He trusts his mother and goes on to say that he can never fall in
love with any young woman. Some habits, he says, are too deep to be changed. He
argues that he is used to with his mother and such habits he can’t change at. He
needs a woman l similar to his mother in wisdom, judgment and exposure.
Mr. Higgins teaches
Liza far from his mother but still he prefers Liza’s performance in her judgment.
His mother’s comments about Liza mean to him. Though she doesn’t like his
coming while her guests were present at home but still he depends upon her.
He explains
her as, “I've a sort of bet on that I'll pass her off as a duchess in six
months. I started on her some months ago; and she's getting on like a house on
fire. I shall win my bet. She has a quick ear; and she's been easier to teach
than my middle-class pupils because she's had to learn a complete.”
It can be
observed whenever he is in difficulties he knocks his mother’s door. Twice in
the play he connects his mother to get her support. First he wanted to introduce
Liza to his mother to get her remarks. Second time he again comes to her to get
her support while things are going out of his control he feels need her mother’s
support. She calls him as , “you silly boy”.

Mrs. Pearce’s Character in Pygmalion by Barnard Shaw
Mrs.
Pearce’s Character in Pygmalion by Barnard Shaw
Keywords: Company,
Sensible, Mature
Mrs.
Pearce is Higgins’s house keeper. She is plain, blunt kind of woman through her
we come to know some of Higgins abnormalities. Higgins is untidy in his habits
and makes plentiful use of objectionable words like damn, devil or bloody. She
strikes us as a woman considerable knowledge of human nature and much sound
sense. She seems to have been in Higgins’s service for the past many years. She
has accustomed to all his oddities and eccentricities although she is critical
of certain habits of her master. Besides she has a lot of respect for her master.
Mrs. Pearce
is a maid but her mental level is high than her capabilities as a servant. There
are several aspects which distinguishes her from other characters.
By living in
company of learned professor Mrs. Pearce has sufficient knowledge about
phonetics. She also knows well what will be the effects on Liza in coming
future. What would be the possible problems if she becomes successful. She is
sensible and mature. She thinks her responsibility to tell Higgins possible hindrances
in the way to success.
She
states as, “I ask you not to come down to breakfast in your dressing-gown, or
at any rate not to use it as a napkin to the extent you do, sir. And if you
would be so good as not to eat everything off the same plate, and to remember
not to put the porridge saucepan out of your hand on the clean tablecloth.”
She
advises Higgins to be careful about such things while teaching the girl. She
knows well what things should be adopted and what should be avoided in teaching
a flower girl. She also has courage to express what she realizes. Higgins
admits that she is quite right and he would be particularly careful before the
girl.
Colonel Pickering in Pygmalion by Barnard Shaw
Colonel
Pickering in Pygmalion by Barnard Shaw
Keywords: Nature, Generous,
Co-operative
There are something in nature of
human beings which give them benefits. Same way there are some weak points as
part of someone’s characterization. Nothing is perfect in the world. Higgins is
more intelligent in his professional performance while he has some weak points,
a part of his personality.
On the other hand Pickering has positive
characteristics in his nature which value him in eye of Liza and Mrs. Pearce as
well. In the
end Liza gives credit behind her success there are Pickering’s good manners and
his being generous with her. He has been co-operative and encouraging Liza to
be confident. Because he made her feel high, valuable and capable.
Liza admires Pickering as , “ that Your
calling me Miss
|
And there were a hundred little things you
never
|
noticed, because
they came naturally to you. Things about
|
standing up and
taking off your hat and opening doors.”
|
Liza likes Pickering’s manners because he
respects her and makes her realize that she is respectable in this respect. He doesn’t
deal her a flower girl but as a honorable lady or as she is a duchess. Pickering shows responsibility in Liza’s matters. He
makes it clear that they would not misuse the girl who wanted to improve her.
He doesn’t forget to appreciate Liza’s performance in aristocratic
party. Liza comments that it was Pickering’s goods manners which contributed
great in encouraging her females like duchess.
“Oh come! the garden
party was frightfully exciting. My
|
heart began beating
like anything.”

He is a scholar of great distinction who has high merits besides having draw

and lives a life as a single .In professor’s opinion woman wants to live her
own way and man wants his own way. Each tries to drag the other on to the
wrong track. Despite of all that he wants to do experiment on poor flower
girl to transform her into a duchess.
Mrs. Pearce,
maid servant, points out several drawbacks which she finds mistakes in
